The next day we lay on the grass in our front yard, gazing up at the beautiful cerulean sky, relaxing. I was a bit embarrassed about yesterday’s sexcapade, we hadn’t really said much to one another. Although, we had the most beautiful night together, I was having difficulty getting over how I acted. I attacked him – literally -- and with every touch I wanted more. It was crazy… Insane!

All morning I tried to see how he felt by trying to read his thoughts, but I failed miserably. Everybody else’s mind I could read, but not Bradley’s. It wasn’t fair. I really needed to know how he felt about last night. Too nervous to ask, I sat quietly, letting my mind run rampant. What if he didn’t like how I acted? What if he felt I acted immature, like a crazy woman?

Ashamed and completely frustrated, I sat up before I crossed my arms over my knees, and buried my face in my arms, hiding my shame.

“What’s the matter, my love?” Bradley must have sat up because I could feel his chilled breath, so close that I could almost taste the flavor.

This time, refusing to cry, I was determined to be mature about it by just saying what I felt. When I lifted my head and our eyes met, all my courage and confidence disappeared.

“Are you going to do that all day?” Using the back of his right hand he stroked my colorful left cheek. “I don’t mind, you know how I like it when you blush.”

Having trouble with my words I started saying, “About last night…” all the while ripping the grass out by its roots.

“Natalia, what has you so troubled that you’re ripping the grass out. You can’t even pull a blade of grass out of the ground without thanking it first.” Gently taking a hold of my chin again, he stared deeply into my eyes, holding my gaze for a few moments.

“Natalia, you silly woman. I’m thrilled by the way our bodies responded to each other last night.” He kept his gaze locked as if to wait for me to silently respond.

“Honestly, I’ve never felt anything like it. I’m ready to pick you up and take you to our room to do it again.”

I turned away, putting my chin back on my left arm, my right hand picking at my cast nervously. “I acted like an immature, inexperienced little girl who was unable to control herself last night. All I did was bark orders at you, telling you what I wanted.” I shook my head, trying to shake the horrid, embarrassing image out of my mind. Well part of it anyway. Placing his hand at the top of my head, he slid it downward, stroking my hair to my shoulder where he rested it.

“I don’t know what to say to you except that what you just said isn’t true. None of it.” Between tender kisses, he spoke softly into my ear, “I’ve wanted you to express yourself to me since the first night I touched you intimately.
